My predicted lineup for Newcastle...
Defense
Ryan continues in goal, its been a solid year for him despite the criticism.
As I have said before, I can't predict Duffy to start when Potter does not prefer him. Its becoming apparent that his days at Brighton are numbered.
Lamptey and Burn have been the clear starters at the fullback position.
Midfield
Bissouma should get the start given his solid performances recently. However, Dale Stephens did play well at Southampton and may be rewarded with another place in the starting eleven.
Davy Propper has been one of Graham Potter's most preferred players this season and is expected to feature again.
Attack
Trossard has been in fine form and should continue to impact the game. His creative abilities enable him to get past defenders, create chances, and execute difficult finishes.
Gross hasn't been at his best, but still possesses incredible creative and technical ability. He had a productive afternoon in the reverse fixture (0-0 draw), and should return to the starting lineup.
After four weeks of incorrectly predicting a start for Ali Jahanbakhsh, I won't make that same mistake again. Wouldn't it be ironic if this was the week he got a start.
Up front, Glenn Murray enjoyed a nice return to the action at Southampton, claiming an assist. I believe Potter will reward him with another start. Newcastle are a defensive and compact side, and his aerial ability will be beneficial.
Our only goal at the Southampton draw came from top scorer Neal Maupay, who has established himself as the first-choice striker. Him and Murray have shown to be an effective striking pair.
