Lineup Prediction: Brighton vs Manchester City

See how I think we will line up against last year's Champions...

Attack

So, its usually tough fixtures like these that Potter gives Connolly the nod, so I expect to see that. He prefers to have Maupay come on and impact the game, but he could start him anyway.

We saw Jahanbakhsh make the 20-man squad for the first time since lockdown, and I have to say, he looked so ticked off on the bench. It showed a few camera angles of him and he just looked like he knew he wouldn't feature. But, that aside, I think Potter will want to bring him on for this one, because he will want to stick with 4-3-3, and have two wingers that can provide quick link-up play with a forward and midfield, similar to the game against Liverpool.

Midfield

I think Gross had a solid performance with hard running and clever play against Liverpool, and will be rewarded with another start. Against a side like City, you need to have some creativity. Propper has been poor in the past few matches and will probably be replaced by Bissouma for this one.

Defense

In defense, I can't put Duffy in anymore and expect it to happen. Potter just doesn't prefer him. It's sad to see, he was one of my favourite players to watch last year. Him and Dunk did so much for this club, and he deserves to start somewhere, probably going to another club. Lamptey continues to be a consistent performer at a high level and will most likely start again. Burn had a nice return to attacking left-back rather than deep defensive duty against Liverpool, and was solid as usual (except for that glaring miss in the second half).
